Sweet & Spicy Glazed Tofu 🌶️🍯 (Vegan & Delicious!)
This Sweet & Spicy Glazed Tofu is crispy, caramelized, and coated in a sticky glaze made with Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam! It’s the perfect balance of heat and sweetness, making it a flavorful plant-based dish that pairs well with rice, noodles, or fresh veggies.
🌱 Ingredients:
1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed & cubed
2 tbsp cornstarch (for crispiness)
1 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam (Mild or Medium for balance)
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp maple syrup or agave (optional for extra sweetness)
Sesame seeds & sliced green onions for garnish
👨🍳 Instructions:
Press & Cube the Tofu – Pat the tofu dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Toss with cornstarch to get a crispy texture when cooked.
Crisp it Up – Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu cubes and pan-fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
Make the Glaze – In the same pan, add Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and maple syrup. Stir well and let it simmer for 2 minutes until thick and sticky.
Coat the Tofu – Toss the crispy tofu back into the pan and stir until evenly coated in the sweet & spicy glaze.
Serve & Garnish – Sprinkle with sesame seeds & green onions and serve hot over rice, quinoa, or stir-fried veggies.
