Buckaroo Pepper Jam Stacked Sandwich

Buckaroo Pepper Jam Stacked Sandwich

Buckaroo Pepper Jam Stacked Sandwich

Serves: 1 very hungry person (or 2 light eaters)

Ingredients

2 thick slices sourdough or rustic country bread

3–4 tbsp Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam

4–5 slices roasted turkey (or chicken)

3 slices crispy bacon

2 slices sharp cheddar

2 slices pepper jack cheese

3–4 slices salami or spicy ham

2 slices ripe tomato

Leaf lettuce or butter lettuce

Soft butter or olive oil (for toasting)

Optional: chili flakes or cracked black pepper

Instructions

Toast the bread
Lightly butter or brush the bread with olive oil. Toast in a skillet or on a griddle until golden and crisp.

Build the base
On the bottom slice, layer lettuce and tomato. Add the turkey, then cheddar cheese.

Add the heat & crunch
Spoon a generous layer of pepper jam over the cheddar. Top with crispy bacon and salami.

Melt & stack
Add pepper jack cheese. If desired, briefly place under a broiler or cover the pan to gently melt the cheese.

Finish strong
Spread more pepper jam on the top slice of bread and place it jam-side down on the sandwich.

Press & serve
Gently press, slice in half, and serve while warm and gloriously messy.

Flavor Tip

The sweet heat of the pepper jam balances salty meats and sharp cheese—don’t be shy with it. This sandwich is meant to drip.
