I love the medium heat pepper jam! It has the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness and it tastes fresh - like homemade. As a condiment it makes food taste so much better. It has a great flavor and it's colorful, too! This would make a great hostess gift as well!
I used the medium jam in my sage, apple, sauage and cabbage casserole. The little touch of heat balances out the sweet and sour glaze. My friends love this heat level. We share recipe ideas. I got a few of them using it on fish. I'm spreading the love and the flavor.
I recently purchased the Medium and Hot varieties of the Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam! I love both of them! The hot isn't extremely hot, but just right! I've used the jam in chicken salad, on blt's and most recently in my coleslaw dressing! I love savory things, so I think I could use it on many things! I still love the traditional cream cheese, crackers and pepper jam combo too!
WOW!! This stuff is incredible! As soon as I opened the jar, I knew this was a winner. The aroma was intoxicating, fiery with a sweetness. The jam was a perfect consistency, not too firm nor too runny. Nice bits of peppers throughout. Not chunks but, small tidbits of heaven, perfect on everything I tasted it on. One morning I had it on my toast, a special unexpected treat, I shared with no one. I made chicken salad for lunch with toasted pecans, grapes, water chestnuts and some Rollicking Buckaroo Pepper Jam and everyone said it was the best chicken salad ever. I even added some to my carrots I cooked for supper tonight, my husband said they tasted better than usual several times. I never shared my secret as he's rather finicky. This Jam holds a high spot on my secret ingredient list. I can hardly wait to try the habanero....
